In 1980, Kathie and her guitarist husband Michael, who teaches Jazz guitar at UNM, took over Fishback Studio when her parents retired. The studio was founded in 1945 and continues to grow with the times including lyrical, modern, contemporary and hip-hop as well as all other forms of dance.
